Working in watercolor, mixed media, pastel, cast paper, monoprint, collage, and fabric,   Bob provides instruction in all studio areas.  As a member of the Mendocino Eco Artists (MEA), his work is shown in various venues continually.  MEA is a local group that supports environmental preservation. MEA donates a percentage of their sales revenues to various ecology and preservation groups on the coast including but not limited to Salmon Restoration, The Mendocino Land Trust, and Mendocino Area Parks Association.

Robert Rhoades's work is shown regularly in several galleries in the Mendocino area.  He enjoys working in various formats and media. As a passionate gardener, Bob grows plants from which he makes paper. His cast fish and other paper sculptures are often from his handmade papers.

His constructed paintings are inspired by architecture and travel. Using the elements of design as a launching point, Bob continues to draw inspiration from travel, nature, and artistic process.  He is always open to new perspectives.
